We are thrilled to announce our 3rd location within the global network and 2nd within the North American market to meet the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards of certification, FSSC 22000. This level of certification demonstrates Diana Pet Food’s commitment to manufacturing quality products in a manner that leads the pet food industry.

The GFSI organization was established in 2000 to collaborate with industry stakeholders and outlined benchmarks to focus on improving food safety systems.

We benchmark our quality systems and food safety protocols against leading food manufactures and continuing raising the bar in the pet food industry and against our competitors,” tells Nadia Chang, QHSE Director North America. We look forward to continuing to elevate the industry standard to ensure safe, quality ingredients for our customers.”

Diana Pet Food has created a strategic 3 year plan for all locations to achieve this level of certification. Our commitment to producing quality products in a food safe environment is a global priority.

Our Canadian team is proud to be recognized for meeting this quality standard for the continuous improvement of food safety management systems. This is to ensure confidence in the delivery of quality products that are safe for our clients”, explains Richard Ayotte, General Manager, Canada.

The Diana Pet Food facility in St. Blaise, Quebec, Canada is one of four locations producing palatants in the North American market. The accreditation was achieved in November 2018.
