We are thrilled to announce our 1st location within Latin America market to meet the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards of certification, FSSC 22000, one of the most important certification in food safety management.

The FSSC 22000 certification of the Diana Pet Food plant located in Descalvado (San Pablo) is setting a new milestone for Diana Pet Food.

“Thanks to this certification, Diana Pet Food reaffirms its commitment to food safety, and positions itself as a benchmark throughout the region, guaranteeing safer products, a more comprehensive and continuous management system, greater competitiveness and improvement in the supply chain management”, says Elaine Mapeli, QHE Regional Manager. 

FSSC 22000 is a food safety certification system developed by the Foundation for Food Safety Certification, and approved by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), thus achieving international recognition and reach. The GFSI organization was established in 2000 to collaborate with industry stakeholders and outlined benchmarks to focus on improving food safety systems.

The Diana Pet Food facility in Descalvado, San Pablo, Brazil, is one of four locations producing palatants in the Latin American market. The accreditation was achieved in March 2021. This certification establishes Diana Pet Food as a global and regional leader within the petfood industry in meeting a food requirement that is currently focused towards human food manufacturing.

Diana Pet Food has created a strategic plan for all locations to achieve this level of certification. Our commitment to producing quality products in a food safe environment is a global priority.
